An all-night celebration of art — Nuit Blanche Toronto, Sept. 29

If you’ve never attended Nuit Blanche before, get ready for a truly special event. It’s an all-night celebration of art and exploration, and the chance to experience the culture of a city — after dark.

Held in cities across the globe, perhaps no city has embraced Nuit Blanche on quite the same level as Toronto. September 29th is your chance to see the vibrancy of the Toronto art scene for yourself, and witness its unrivaled nightlife from dusk until dawn.

Entering its seventh year, Scotiabank Nuit Blanche is building on last year’s hugely successful event. The 2011 show featured three exhibition “zones” that took up most of downtown Toronto, including a handful along Toronto’s scenic waterfront. Each “zone” was home to dozens of projects scattered throughout, including a number of independent exhibits by budding artists.

Video installations, sculpture, performance art, and events that defy categorization, keep the city from sleeping. Instead, Toronto becomes immersed in a cultural phenomenon unlike any other.

All Scotiabank Nuit Blanche events are free admission.
