The Toronto International Film Festival is considered one of North America’s most progressive, innovative events in the film industry. This year’s festival runs from September 6th-16th, and features over 300 films from more than 60 countries.
The scope of the films runs the gamut―from Hollywood blockbusters to compelling documentaries to international programming to indie sensations, there’s something here for everyone. Referred to as the TIFF, it’s one of the reasons why Hollywood’s hottest actors, actresses and directors make their way north of the border every year. The scope of the films is truly outstanding.
This year’s premieres include Keira Knightley in Anna Karenina, Zac Efron, Dennis Quaid and Heather Graham in At Any Price, Tom Hanks and Halle Berry in Cloud Atlas, and Gwyneth Paltrow, Mark Ruffalo and Tim Robbins in Thanks for Sharing.
After-parties and the city’s always-active nightlife go hand in hand, making TIFF a fun-filled, star-studded event around which to plan your next Toronto trip. For more information go to http://tiff.net.
