February 16-20, 2012
Attention boaters and sailors, yachtsmen and sea dogs, the 27th annual Miami Boat Show sets sail Feb. 16-20, 2012. Known as the premier show of its kind in the world, this year’s edition will span three locations and feature more than 3,000 boats and 2,000 exhibitors from around the globe. The latest in powerboats, sailboats and engines, marine electronics, nautical gifts, services and apparel will be on full display.
Beyond the boats and booths, a series of special events, attractions and activities will celebrate the boating life style. For seasoned sport fishermen The Big Game Room Sport Fishing Expo offers everything from state-of-the-art boats and gear to advanced seminars and clinics. For the novice, Discover Boating Resource Center will conduct clinics, seminars and on-the-water activities. Don’t miss this year’s induction of accomplished angler John Brownlee into the Big Game Room Hall of Fame (Friday, February 17 at 6 p.m.).
For sailors both salty and wet behind the ears, Strictly Sail Miami offers interactive exhibits to hone the skills and gain confidence at the helm. This five-day event promises the latest and the greatest that the sailing industry has to offer, with a full line up of sailing vessels, gear, accessories and hardware displays from the industry’s top suppliers, and the latest charter information.
And don’t miss the Yacht and Brokerage Show in Miami Beach, a dazzling billion-dollar presentation of the world’s most extraordinary yachts and super-yachts from the world’s foremost boat-builders. The in-water-only display of some 500 vessels will cover more than 1.2 million square feet of space over a mile-long strip of Indian Creek Waterway, in the heart of beautiful Miami Beach.
